:CodeBook
CodeBook is a utility program distributed to registered
users of Prism.
CodeBook makes a new copy of your book using a
proprietary encryption technique. Once coded, people can
only use your text by reading it through Iris (or Prism).
The HardCopy program will print the text of your book, if
asked, but will not send the output to another disk file.
Anyone trying to import or edit your text using any other
programs, would only find a (seemingly) meaningless jumble.
To use CodeBook, just run the program and follow the
prompts. As an ordinary precaution, you should make a
backup copy of your original book first.
Note: CodeBook requires a different name for the coded
version of your book. The .PGE extension is not defaulted,
so you must supply it yourself. The best idea is to first
rename your book to use another extension, then run
CodeBook. (See RENAME in your Dos manual.)
